    Led light panels

Yep might not make sense but that’s what my experience is. Perhaps as 6500k is close to sunlight the brain see’s it as normal so ignores the fact that it’s bluer than 4000k I just know that I’m happier with 6500k and everything has the right colour.

    Led light panels

I’ve got 5 in my 5x2.5 garage. Just about right.

    Led light panels

I just used 4 spare angle brackets and bent them to suit then screwed then to the ceiling. The panels do not weigh much.

    Led light panels

I have them, they’re brilliant. Got mine from Toolstation. £20 each. I went for the 6500k version. As inspector said it’s like working in sunlight. Colours look right under these. I find the 4000k too blue.

How can I put a dozen or so old tyres to use?

You could take them to your local Garage. They have to pay to have them removed so there would be a charge but not a lot. Maybe a tenner. Or the local council tip may take them, again there could be a charge. This is assuming you don’t find a use for them.

How easy is it to fit a kitchen?

Just a couple of points. Old tile adhesive can be removed using a wallpaper steamer. The application of steam softens the old adhesive allowing it to be scraped off. The advantage of Howdens kitchens are that most of the components are held in stock, so if you miss cut something or need an...

    Garage / workshop floor

Hi. I’ve got PVC tiles in my single garage from the garagetileshop.co.uk they have made the world of difference. It’s quieter, and warmer underfoot. Nice uniform look. Easy to clean, and heavy wheeled equipment rolls nicely over it. It takes static loads well and doesn’t deform. I did use self...

    More chimney woes

I’m no expert, but I have used a product called storm dry. It’s a coating that paints on and soaks in to the bricks and mortar. Once soaked in it’s invisible and It breathes. It won’t let water in, but will let water vapour out. I used it on my garage workshop single skin walls to waterproof it...

    Workshop/garage floor paint

I got them from the Garage Tile Shop. They had an offer on for free delivery at the time which saved £50. They went down in an afternoon. Very little cutting as all I needed to do was trim the connecting tabs off in some places to fit the width. I used a track saw which made short work of it...

    Workshop/garage floor paint

I know this is not paint, but I’ve just laid some PVC floor tiles in my single garage. I’m chuffed as nuts with them. It’s quieter more comfortable to walk on, and very easy to clean. The tiles are solid so rolling machines over them is no problem. They do not dent or deform with weight on them...

Osmo Polyx Oil Raw 3044 Advice

I’ve cleaned Oxmo ploy X off my brushes with dedicated brush cleaner (poly cleanse) or similar. That worked well. If I remember I did wash it twice in cleaner then finish with washing up liquid.

    Dust extraction despair

I use 50mm PVC waste pipe and warm it with a heat gun. You can then stretch it to fit, and also shrink it down somewhat. I’ve made loads of adaptors like this.

    Circular Saw Vs Track Saw

As ETAF said have a look at Peter Millard’s track saw reviews. I think the outcome was a cheap saw with a good blade works well. I would go for the track saw as it is very accurate and does give a very nice clean finish on laminate and conti board. Good luck with what ever you choose.

    Help please - blind needed?

I fitted a roof light which had a blue tint to it. It stopped all the heat on a summer day but let in the light. It was very strange to walk from a window where you could feel the heat of the sun, to then walk under the roof light and not feel any heat at all. The room was south facing so got...
