    Bench grinder wire wheel

Hi, can anyone recommend a decent 100mm wire brush for a bench grinder? One that actually has decent amount of bristles instead of looking like a chimney sweeps brush… There is so much rubbish out there

    New, incompetent, advice-needy

The conservatory may be octagonal to look at, but I would check the angle of each corner before you make any cuts… Get two plain pieces of card 6”x4” (imperial 😱) put one flat on the floor along one side up to a corner…place the other on top of it along the adjacent side into the same...

    ADHD and Mental Health

You’ve entered the minefield of mental health…the backlog for ADHD assessments is incredibly depressing… Parents often unknowingly don’t find out they themselves have lived with their own ADHD all their lives, and it’s not until their own child is assessed and they then realise that they too...

How to drill into a concrete lintel?

I second the Bosch Cyl 9 multipurpose bits…carbide tips, but special grind to go through most materials….ive used them for exactly what you’re doing….works a treat..prices do vary…a lot!…check Amazon and EBay..

    Unpaving

As already mentioned a lot depends on what is under the pavers..if it’s sand, removing individual pavers then leaves the edges of the remaining around the space created unsupported and liable to sink..until you’ve taken one up you won’t know what issues you have..

Need advice for dismantling shaft and searching for bearings for Kity 637

According to the diagram, there is no screw shown, so the hexagon is in the end of the shaft, and as already mentioned, must be there just to hold the shaft maybe for some sort of adjustment. Until you know for sure how the pulley is held on the shaft I wouldn’t attempt any more attempts at...

    Cobalt Drills

Dormer and Presto, are really good but expensive If you’re looking for a set of HSS 1-13mm the Dormer sets are excellent…look for recent ones which have a four facet point…much better than the original standard ground point… Be careful of buying no name makes, even though they may say cobalt…...
