Info needed re Parkside plunge/track saw

When I got the Parkside I trimmed the anti tip lip off my mac blister rail with a router. I have a rail square fitted so now I've a 700mm with a rail square and the 2 lidl 700mm joined to give me a fixed 1400mm rail. I think I've seen someone put the Parkside through the table saw before and it...

Am I doing something wrong here? Track saw and splinter guards

Hi Dan, I've the same saw and had the same issue's. What I found was the heel was in to far so the blade was not parallel to the guide rib on the bottom. So the sole plate is sitting correctly but the motor and blade are a degree off.this can be easily measured turn the saw inside down and...

    Conservatory lock / hinges lubrication

The Graphite only gets the top of where the pins contact the key and not into the mechanism, you get lucky sometimes.

    Conservatory lock / hinges lubrication

Apecs is a lock manufacturer and the spray is avalible from locksmiths, if you check halfords they have a large can of dry ptfe spray in the bike section, works just the same and a fraction of the price.

    Conservatory lock / hinges lubrication

Hi, as a locksmith, do not use graphite powder in locks. Historically it was great but the way modern locks are made you are asking for trouble, a dry ptfe lubricant works on all modern cylinders, Halfords sell it in bottle and spray form in the bike section for chains and you can also use it on...

Never even though about cutting the timber down in the yard that's a great idea, you can pick a half decent board and I've a saloon so can't get anything into it with out cutting it to pieces.

Lidl PPTSA 20V-Li cordless plunge track saw. Quick review.

Also check amazon they have a evolution circular saw and track for about €125 gives you the best of both worlds you can use it with or with out the track, you will only lose the better dust control from a plunge saw

Lidl PPTSA 20V-Li cordless plunge track saw. Quick review.

I know how I know how you feel, it's either a battered full sheet from the local hardware of a fortune for a quarter sheet in woodies. I've used my plunge saw to cut 2 by 4 and built my workbench with it and I've even ripped some decking boards down too, circular saw is great if your outside...

    Parkside cordless plunge saw

Hi Peter, I took the plunge today 😀 and picked one up, your correct it is the same foot print as the corded version. I had to bring the first one back as the base plate was warped so it's worth checking before you start cutting. Will definitely replace the splinter strip with a new one as it is...

Lidl PPTSA 20V-Li cordless plunge track saw. Quick review.

Hi Wwn, I picked one up today in Cavan, I had to change it as the base plate was warped so watch that if your picking one up, otherwise impressed with it so far and I've had a mac Alistair corded for years. Even though it says you an use it with out track I'd be inclined to stick to the track...

Parkside Angle Grinder Owners - can you help with a favour please?

Hi, I have the 20v green model it's great for trimming metal or using the flap disks but no where near enough power for cutting concrete or a lot of brick. I stick to my corded black and decker for that.

    Parkside cordless plunge saw

Hi Peter, thank you for your feed back, we haven't seen the 20v version at all here yet so it's hard to know if they are using the same baseplate, I think our friends in Central Europe have had them on a few offers so I was hoping someone might have one. They are available here next week so I'll...

Any experience of wood splinter gone into your finger? - How did you get it out?

A brand new stanley blade does the trick its sharp enough to cut around the splinter and the point is great for getting under it o just to push it out.

    Parkside performance?

Are you using 25mm bits directly in the driver or using a bit holder, I dont think any impact driver can hold the 25m bits directly as they do not have the notch.yes there is a bit of weigh in the 4amp battery I got it mainly for the jigsaw and maybe a different battery hungry tool to come.
