There certainly are charge only cables alternately listed as either data blocking or fast charge, odd because the problem used to be that cheap cables wouldn't do data transfer. What are the data ports in your camper used for? Are they to harness mobile internet or for some super camping computer ?

Yeah I have no doubt they are new and expensive unfortunately that doesn't mean they aren't crap. Are they a hard wired solution or just plugged into power output/cigar lighter? Do you have an inverter in the van?

If you read through all the blurb on WIKI linked above it ultimately says your expensive adapter in the truck doesn't output enough power for fast charging. Was probably the bees knees when designed but has been overtaken by newer tech.
