Birch, turned and carved.

Temps here have barely dropped below 30 C since the start of July.

All of my turnings get some carving done to them. Sometimes to add a little decoration for interest and sometimes the carving is the main element. There is plenty to see on youtube.

Maybe someone you know or on here could machinea new part, it doesn't look too complicated.

I've just finished a small carving in Birch and I want to retain the pale white colour as much as I can. I have a selection of the usual finishing oils but they tend to yellow fairly quickly. I have some mineral oil which might work. Any other suggestions?

Nice looking furniture. The problem with recycling this to use the wood for something else that there will be a lot of waste what with screw holes, curved pieces, small pieces etc. It's difficult to see £500 worth of value in that respect.
