thanks for the info. chuck is on order. I did email buck and hickman as a long shot but had no reply. I think with the cover plate I'm going to have make one out of stainless steel or some thing. could you take a picture of how the spring sits and of the cover plate also please. thanks Dave

i was thinking a jt33 chuck. I cant seem to find one anywhere though unless I by from the us and they are quite expensive. the measurement of the spindle or arbour doesn't quite match a j33 chuck though. it seams at some point some has grinded it down a bit unless its down to wear and tear over...

Hi! I've recently inherited a grafton 60 drill press. The plan is to restore it. The only problem I have with it that it didn't come with a chuck. I cannot find any information at all on the internet about the drill so I don't know what size chuck will fit. Can anyone help? Thank you :).
