    I'm going to make some bi-fold shutters out of 14mm t&g. I want to use brass butt hinges because they'll be exposed to elements, and I have found a suitable hinge in the 'box of bits' which is 63mm long and 34mm wide when opened out, but I'm not sure if these are still available..... I did find an alternative plan He uses staples to attach the slats to control rods, but as I want the shutters to be outside the window, I think the staples would rust and stain the wood.
