    ML8 Help needed....

    I've removed the plate by gently warming it and giving a tap with a wooden drift. The threads and the touching faces were a bit gummy as might be expected on a lathe that has not been used for many years. All now cleaned and functioning correctly ! Thanks for the advice. Ed

    ML8 Help needed....

    Hi Folks, I've just been bequeathed a Myford ML8 It's the pale green type. I want to get this lathe working again, but I can't remove the bowl turning plate on the left hand side. For obvious reasons I can't ask the previous owner how to do it. Advice please, as I am a total novice. Thanks, Ed
