    The Cheapest Energy So Far

I changed over 17/10. If I attempt to enter a meter reading on myWatts it won't take two readings (I had a day and a night rate) and it gives an error message if I enter the total. I've not heard frm them since before the change over (they don't answer emails) - I assume they're going to want...

110 volt tools pros and cons

Go for it. Once you have the transformer you pick up 110v stuff as and when. I happened by a second transformer and have one in the garage (workshop) and one in the shed (workshop) both hard wired with an outlet at either end. I have one on a neon socket so it doesn't often get left switched...

    Cites lists

If you look at the the lists of Countries where the trees are grown (albeit probably in substantial or commercial quantities) they undoubtedly aren't the Countries of the species' origins.

    Cites lists

Looking for something else, I read that Chile pine - monkeypuzzle - Aurucaria aurucana is Cites one listed - in danger of extinction. You wouldn't think so looking around Cornwall, they're quite common. Some of the really large ones were grown from seeds brought home by returning miners...

    Everbuild D4

I don't think Evostick do a D4. D4 is a different formulation to the usual D3s. 502 - D3 - lasts for ages. I got a notification after their wanting it back that I would be credited for it anyway.

    Window Board Secret Fixing

Gun polyurethane - ensure you have weights to keep the board in place and that it can't shift from level. The stuff expands. Get rid of all dust and damp down the surfaces. No second attempts.

    Punky spalted beech

Try cellulose a little thicker and accept that it doesn't go very deep - a very light cut or even sanding and you'll need to apply it again.

    Climate change policy

Most of the worst roads here you couldn't get an HGV on, not a large one, anyway. The main problem is nothing more than neglect.

Makita plunge saw, full kit, £351 (110 volt)

I bought a 110v sander by accident, I didn't read the details carefully. I decided to buy a transformer - £55 at the time - rather than send the sander back, it worked out at about the same price the 230v sander woud have been. A couple of months afterwards I bought a huge Hitachi mitre saw...
