This is a European oak dining table I have jsut completed. It has a 1900x 940mm toughened glass top.
Throughout the project and even after a series of mock ups I was still worried about the stability. However, once the glass was on the 53kg weight goes directly through and makes it completely...
Hi Mike yes it is a small it was the clients request due to their height. The pictures do not due its height issues any favours though, in real life it just about gets away with it

Hi Peter
Yes you are correct they are veneered and have a 45 mm cross banding. It is hard to see but there is also a small applied moulding. In terms of glue, nothing fancy just plain old PVA. I was lucky and managed to get them pressed in a heated press which I have access to.
Thanks for...

Hi Mailee
The apron was made by laminating. When one piece was still flat I routed the flutes on.
I then laminated it up in sections in preperation for final fit.
Excellent, I just had a look through my memory stick properly and found these WIP photos buried amongst some folders.
They are not the best quality photo; they were taken some years ago with a Rubbish LG camera phone.
Hope you enjoy and they make sense.
Thanks

The fluting was done by router , I must confess!
I will try and dig out some WIP photos, I made this a few years ago now and they are on a hardrive buried in some boxes somewhere.
I will try this weekend.

I made two patterns, one for larger and one foe small. Cut all bits to length, mark on shape cut carefully on the band saw to within 2 mm of the line. Then buzzed them out on the overhead router with a lower bearing cutter. Hope that helps
My sprayer got mine, but I happen to know Morrels are good quality and value, they have branches throughout the UK.
It depends what colour your needing, a general rule of thumb, the darker you go theore expensive!
Thanks for the comments, the cutting stations was a lovely job.
Yes the drawers have runners, I used 350mm Blum Motion full extension runners. I added a 35 mm block to allow for the 385 draw box. It saved buying 400 runners which are special order from Germany!
