    Thanks for the reply. Yes I have tried with a drill press but its nowhere near accurate enough. I would need a very expensive drill, maybe some second hand phase3 machinery but its not an option. Im pretty sure there is no 3mm bit long enough but I'm sure there must be a chuck that fits...

    Bench Drill question

    Thanks for the repilies guys. The head rotates so not a prob. The drill however is nowhere near accurate enough so will be returning and getting somthing a bit better.

    I have a Titan SF16N-9 110mm Pillar Drill 230V on order. What is the likelyhood the drill can swivel on the base plate allowing a long section of wood to be placed vertically under the drill. Do most bench drills do this I cant seem to find the info? Thanks in advance,
