    Registartion plates

Very interesting Argee, I often wondered about it. Now that stacks up. In 1962 ish I was sat in a cafe in Leominster (used to be in Herefordshire, dunno what county it's in now) and if I remember correctly it was on something like a morris minor or a beetle, what ever it was on your everyday...

    new box idea for me

Well the last pic says it all =D> I couldn'y understand why you took so much trouble infilling the mitred corners the way you did. But that last pic with the lid in place says it all. Very nice indeed.

    Steamed beech

Both Benchwayze and Steve Maskery are spot on, can't really add anything useful. I expect the beech in my bench was kiln dried and as Steve suggested it did move a lot as the tension was released when ripping it to size, so allow at least 1/2" of bend or twist on a six foot length if ripping...

    Buying small amounts of hardwood

When I need a very small amount of wood I don't bother with timber/wood merchants. Try small builders merchants they are likely to have bins of offcuts and only to happy to sell it.

A new home for my Blue Spruce chisels & a change around

Magic Mushrooms It's packaging, that polystyrene stuff, don't know what it taste like though. When I get anything delivered that contains it I poke my vac into it, saves sweeping it up.

A new home for my Blue Spruce chisels & a change around

This is the third or is it the forth time of moving it about, although this is the first time on moving the mitre saw bench and god was it heavy, even with everything removed and the drawers taken out I couldn't move it, I had to enlist help and even then it was a matter of crowbarring it an...

A new home for my Blue Spruce chisels & a change around

I decided to put my Blue Spruce paring chisels & my Lie Nielsen chisels here in this cabinet Here they are now. I then decided my work bench would be better directly below the tool cabinets, but to do so would mean the mitre saw bench would have to be moved to another wall. You can see...
