    Looks good Pete. How about cutting a true circle out the middle and fitting a larger bowl so it sits in the hole,leaving plenty of the log rim showing :?: :?:

    Lovely bowl Lee. :D Great shape and nicely finished.Not keen on the plinth bit meself,the bowl is good enough to stand on it's own.I think :D

    How do you sign your work?

    I use a black Bic CD permamnent marker for the lighter woods and a white Uni ball sign marker,Signo, for the darker woods,after the finish has been applied.Not that i do sign many :( :D

    Spalted beech hollow form

    Hello and welcome Babylon355 :D Looks to be a good form from what i can see,and the finial looks good,as finials go,but is hard to see how it looks with this piece the way the piccy has been taken. :( So next time get a nice profile shot of your pieces :wink: :D

    I can see the form that we see quite a lot of in wodturning,where the base is narrower and turned under in the classic pottery styles but they mostly seem to have a foot on,or a wider base :?
