    Anyone for boiled walnuts ?

Yes, just. Built a bench, brought the tools and sharpening stuff. Got myself a mask like yours....... and just spent ten minutes rounding a 12 inch 2X2 bit of pine. Some of you will know what I mean when I say it seems I CAN do it. Still got all my bits :) The finish is not great. :)...

Are you thinking about getting a Festool MFT 3?

Stu - Can I ask you the same question. Are the holes set at a distance from the edge that would allow two two be placed side by side and retain the accuracy ? Or alternatively can you produce longer ones ?

    Anyone for boiled walnuts ?

Chas, you always explain things so well. Just musing.... if wood were turned wetish and properly sealed then water would not be able to get in or out so drying/cracking/moving would not be a problem. I know it doesn't work like that but why not ?

Are you thinking about getting a Festool MFT 3?

John, Not sure how many of these tops you have but do you happen to know if the hole spacing would be maintained if you put two or more side by side ?

    Anyone for boiled walnuts ?

Carl Jacobson has just released a new youtube demo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkpyzA_2YwQ where he is boiling a piece of walnut after turning it. I am a little unclear why. Is this a known technique for something or other ?

Are you thinking about getting a Festool MFT 3?

+1 for that. The precision drilling of the holes make the MFT table top the most useful tool in the workshop. Gotta get me one :)

    Which Sanding Sealer ?

Chestnut do a cellulose sealer and an Acrylic Sealer. The Axi description and uses are pretty much the same for both. When would I use which and do I need both ?
