Power tool cases - what's it all about?

Think I have mentioned this before. A good mate of mine had his shed broken into, a lot of dewalt boxes were taken. Found in a field minus tools of course. Police told him, no use dusting for fingerprints as the plastic they are made from does not hold fingerprints! I'm cynical but I think it's...

Does anyone here have a vinyl cutter/plotter?

I can't help you in anyway, but just wanted to applaud you for doing this your way. Yes, you could have taken it to a professional with a CNC machine, But that would have lost the intimacy of the piece, which I see you are trying to do, by doing it yourself If that makes any sense. Hope you get...

    Forge

DO NOT try and pump the bellows! If they have been standing for a while, The leather will have dried out and any movement will crack the leather, making a very expensive job to replace. Get the guy to literally smother all of the leather with neatsfoot oil. it will absorb loads, keep doing it...

Plastic Ties at Amazon a Bargain

It's not. It's more complicated that that. on another forum I am on, it was discussed at some length, essentially, the WTO class China as an 'emerging market' and as such, it is they who subsidise the postage. In a nutshell, we are paying for it ourselves!

Which compound mitre saw to get?

I have the KGS 216 This and it's bigger brother, slide the same amount, It's only the depth that varies. I got it after being impressed with the same one my mate got, He was a pro joiner in a previous life and in hindsight he would have gone for the 254 ( but I only cut planks for boxes anyway)

Work trousers - not baggy ones! Any suggestions?

I Used to teach Abseiling when I was a scout leader many moons ago. Bit different from your situation as I was mostly stationary on a belay line. I used to put the line around my shoulder then though a descender, I used an old denim jacket but that still wore a line where the rope dragged. I did...

Work trousers - not baggy ones! Any suggestions?

I have to ask, What is your Job. Your boss says you can't wear jeans. You destroy trousers in two weeks. If the job is that rough, get your boss to provide suitable workwear. Bonus is, you can also claim tax relief on washing them!

Power tool van storage should I ditch the boxes

I know this is a late reply. I've only just found the thread and I think this is important information to know. My mate had his drills etc stolen from his workshop. Mostly dewalt but an old wolf that was in a dewalt box. He found the boxes in a field not far from his house. The police told him...
