I have just purchased a new Axminster slide mitre saw and am wondering are there any opinions out there about this equipment? Also does anyone have suggestions about which type of blade to use for cutting plastics and/or acrylics? What rate of cut etc? Also "Router & Power Woodworking" magazine...

:( :?: I have a Bachmayr 240V slide mitre saw (250mm) but the switch mechanism has just blown up (buzzing and hissing smoke). Can anyone tell me where to find a new switch? Do Bachmayr have a Spare Parts Department? If yes, what is their address? 8-[
