Workshop burgled, now my tools are on eBay

Thankfully they are not my neighbours. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere near people with that mentality. Laws are passed by parliament, interpreted by judges and maintained by a sworn police force. Anything else is a slippery slope.

Why do we have so many issues with software programs

Didn’t seem to stop piracy then!!

    Computer says no ...

It’s hugely short of resources. That’s unarguable. Is it badly managed? That could be argued and probably true in some places and some areask pathetic.

Why do we have so many issues with software programs

I can understand Adobe switching to a secure subscription model. I was a member of a UK photography forum where only one member had a legal copy of Photoshop. All the rest had pirated copies.

Why do we have so many issues with software programs

You are right! We had a second flood several years later. We had to work very hard to get the Environment Agency, Water company and councils to deal with the particular structure of the stream that caused the flooding. 😖

Why do we have so many issues with software programs

Many moons ago photography was a serious hobby of mine. I had thousands of storage sheets of negatives - 35mm; 6x6; 6x4.5; 4x5 - along with thousands of hand printed photographs. All classified and stored on shelves from floor to ceiling in my office at home. We live on a hill and a stream runs...

    Joke Thread 4 (closed).

Speaking as a historian of the period I’m afraid that’s not at all accurate. The Puritan émigrés were really quite rigid, intolerant Protestants who sought to “build Gods kingdom” in the New World. The communities they established on the East coast were run on very rigid d strict lines. Ok...

    Drill guides

Another recommendation from me for the UJK one from Axminster. I’m happy with mine. I don’t have too much need to use it but when I do it does the job well.

What is wrong with some people?!

My parents put tea leaves straight into a pint mug and poured boiling water on the leaves to fill the mug then added the milk. Tea pots were for weekends and visitors. You had to be careful as you got down to the bottom of the mug otherwise you got a disgusting mouthful of tea leaves. And they...

What are the definitive smells of the 70s?

Then I used to smoke Sullivan Powell Turkish Cigarettes and Gauloise and Gitanes Caporal. I gave up smoking many years ago but if they were still available I’d love an occasional one if only for the smell.

What is wrong with some people?!

Sad thing is they have no choice in todays social media world. Innocent or not they would be howled down.

    Daylight saving time?

Apparently “surveys “ in the UK show a majority of about 59% in favour of leaving it as it is!! Unusually for me, I’m with the majority. It adds a bit of interest and quirkiness to life!!😀

    Live edge choppping board

I really wouldn’t go down the route of a food chopping board. Keeping it hygienic would be an impossibility.
