    2' Screwdriver

It's a scotch pattern turnscrew and it doesn't look to have been modified in any way.

    Thats not a knife.

Whilst I'm partial to a nice blade and rather fond of the one's I have, I have absolutely 0 interest in something that does not serve a purpose. so a "rambo" knife just doesn't do anything for me. give me a delightfully cheap opinel or a decent size bowie and I'm happy as larry, but when you...

    Thats not a knife.

that's something Sinbad would be proud of, but it's not a knife, it's a small persons sword. Might need to put some support in the wall before you hang it in its box. :)

Any use for broken bandsaw blades?

I ground the teeth of a length and made a few lock picks with it. :) the were a bit whippy. I also made a few "extreme" scrollsaw blades, but I couldn't tension it. in the end I turned it inside out, spotted it back together and left it at a mates workshop. Ok,last ones a lie.

    Mystery tool

there are 2 possibilities for this. either it was used in a map room on very large scale area maps (think winston and cigar planning bomber runs over germany) a hexample at that scale. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/military-in-detail-48027-bosnian-maps--982688 or in a drawing office as...

How do you hold your hammer?

2 men isn't anything, I stood and watch a team of 6 smiths (and 1 apprentice with a set of tongues) work an anvil (one of the smiths was my dad). can't remember what they were making but it needed big hits fast to shape it and keep from having to stick it back in the fire. in your video it's...

    Larry Haun

I'm always nervous when I watch a US framer with a saw. One of the sparkies I worked with tried it once with his new fangled dewalt battery saw, it was a fun trip to the A+E.

How do you hold your hammer?

Guess im a pro if we use the golf analogue. These are just the ones that stay out. Theres a toolbox draw woth another load. Then there's the builders hammers, the chipping hammers, the claw hammers, oh you get the drift.

How do you hold your hammer?

I've been told it's nice to have end choked up on occasion. Pair that with a willingness to move up and down the shaft and the odd finger round the head and I've been informed you can get a good pounding that shows fantastic results. Obviously your mileage may differ. I've also been informed...

How do you hold your hammer?

for knocking nails in, from the end, for precision adjustment, close to the top. for lumb hammers, anywhere including thumb at the side of the head. my dads expression was "what did the hammer do to you that have to strangle it" when ever I shifted my grip up the handle as a youngster. stuck...
