made myself a guitar amp + cab.

Jamjar amps are awesome and deserve to be purchased from. The guy who runs it makes hundreds of them. I have one of there originals in a jar. I broke the jar and had to drill a new one, for that alone here deserves the utmost of respect. Its rather nice looking yours. Send him a picture. He...

    Router advice

You have a better tool for the job on its way to you already. The router is the perfect tool to make the template. Hell if the circle isnt to big it already has the jig for it, its the metal bracket with the edge follower turned backwards so you can put a screw through the hole. Heres a good...

Cans or Bottles, Can you tell the difference?

Rather interestingly the can should be a better beer (although its stella so it's never going to be good). This is because sunlight degrades the aromatics and encourages reactions between chemicals within the beer and produces what is nicely known in the industry as skunking. Its part of the...

Parkside stuff is fine for what we do, I'm by no means a brand whore, most of my tools are on the cheap but viable side of the list as they don't make me money, when I was using them to make money it made sense to buy branded purely for the warranty, if parkside and the lidl return policy had...

the great and marvelous Steve for dowel making, I see no reason this wouldn't work on large pieces, you'd have to make a drive plate for the drill to attach to.

the real makita is 4-6 times that price. run away from that as fast as possible. the reason I'm suggesting the Katsu is that it is of a known quality (I love mine and use it all the time) the knock of makita and the red router shaped object you've linked to aren't or worse are known to be carp...

And now i see your pictures i see what the issue is. you've screwed up the order of operations and cut the holes first. Ah well. Now you need to use a template there is no other way really.

    Router advice

You may find a template harder to use. You will need a back bearing template follower router cutter. Or make the template the correct size and use a collar on the base. Do some practice. Best way to make your template is the way i suggested for cutting the holes. Ypu will need two and it...

Mdf or chipboard. Dont waste good stuff on it and dont use real wood if you want to use it for a long time (wood moves)

    Router Jig Advice Needed

If im doing different sizes i use 4 bits of wood. With that i can make any size rectangle. I made a set with tongue and grove ends and sides so it interlocked but didnt really need it.

    Router advice

You route the recess then you route the hole. You use a circle cutter with your router. Basically a pin in the middle and bar attached to your router. It isnt hard to do, but if youve never walked before then running might seem impossible. Therefore, practice on a load of scrap. You could do...

    Router Jig Advice Needed

Second time today. Back bearing follower bit in your router and a wooden template to match the hole. Use masking tape and super glue to hold the template down. Use a multitool to cut out most of the waste to save time and reduce the amount of work the router has to do. If you arent happy to...

    Poker chips

vacuum bed for work holding. gang up a load of chips on the bed and sand all at once. flip them all over and do the other side. can be simulated with super glue and masking tape for the time being to test the concept. this assumes you make a dowel and finish the outside before cutting chips...

Cutting openings in the middle of edge-glued solid panels

buy a multi tool. cut out waste 2-4mm from the line. neaten up with router and template. for nice rectangle holes I usually superglue and masking take 4 bits of straight wood to the wood and use a back bearing follower bit.

    Parkside compressor - a lemon?

as it looks to have come with euro connectors (great fittings but can have issues with long term seating of the valve) have you tried plugging an air line in and out a few times to settle them. I'd also check if they've been taped at the screw as both these are fairly common issues.
