Oh wow i'm liking that swivel vice a lot, & an absolute steal at £5.00 ! Any chance of any more pics, how does the mechanism work etc? Cool Buck & Hickman catalogue, that stuff is great, thanks for posting. Incredible to think how diverse the range of vices was & how many manufacturers.

They're very well done & each to their own. For me though somehow it wipes out the history of the tool & all the blokes who've used it over the years, particularly that big blacksmiths one, as they look new & they're not.. As i say each to their own though as I know a lot of people like them...

Hello Yes I maybe wondered that, but the blade does seem to be very shaped/widened doesn't it around the hole, although maybe that's so there's enough "meat" for it to stand it. Whatever, it's a very cool looking thing. :)

What are your plans for it Andy? Leave as it is, BLO or anything else ?

Really cool looking things, they're just lovely shapes & IMO really ergonomic to use, for me wooden handles just work. Can i ask, why does that one have a circular hole in the blade?
