One for Brian - Mini Cooper

Get well soon Brian. Your projects, sense of humour and positive mental attitude are an inspiration to all of us. 'Gute Besserung' from Germany too. Barry

    Hegner or ?

Multi-speed every time. Although you will often run it at a 'comfortable' speed there will be times when you want to slow it down for delicate work and intricate tight turns. Barry

Excellent first attempt by your apprentice Brian. I guess she's hired . . . . just as soon as she's made the tea and swept up ;-) Barry

Very nice Phill. Nice choice of wood too.

    Scroll saw patten glue options

A single A4 address label for me every time. You have to print out the pattern anyway so why not print it on to a sticky label? There's no lifting and clean up is fairly easy with the help of a sharp chisel. Tip one: The label can sometimes be harder to remove when its been attached for a while...

Judy Gale Deer - Latest Intarsia

That's a winner Phill. Lovely choice of wood and smashing finish.

    I hate painting . . . . but

Ah. I don't have a lathe so I need to be inventive. Maybe strapped to the wheel when I pop into town to restock me beer cellar? Seriously though, I'll check out one of the YouTube videos.

    ..........

That's a kicker Brian and I'm sorry to hear your bad news. From your many postings I can tell you have a great sense of humour and a very positive attitude and if anyone is gonna meet the future head-on, its gonna be you at the front of the line with your chin out. The best of luck to you and...

    I hate painting . . . . but

Sorry to take so long to get back to this subject but there was a lot to read and absorb and we've been busy getting ready for a short trip back to the UK. I'd like to thank everyone for their valuable contributions to this subject. It has been very helpful to me and I hope others have also...

Whoah . . . Andy. Many thanks for the posting. Gonna take me a few reads to absorb all the information and yes, any PDFs on the subject would be a great help. Do you still have my email address? Barry

    I hate painting . . . . but

Many thanks for the update Nev. I have loads of "Plasti-Kote Odds 'n Ends" jars which I'm hoping to use and it looks like I can use that straight from the jar (once stirred). I've been doing some research and thought that this looked quite good https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/lho/Airbrush ...

    I hate painting . . . . but

Thanks for the info Nev. Much appreciated =D> You and morturn have given me a start. I think I need to get a kit including spray gun and compressor to save keep buying aerosol propellant. All I need to really do is spray wooden vehicles (typically 8" x 4" x 2" ish) to save having to hand...

Whoah . . . thank you so much for the information. That'll take some absorbing and a wealth of lovely hints and tips. Thank you very much. Barry

    I hate painting . . . . but

. . . Nev has got me thinking that I could maybe use an airbrush. I have been put off making some cars, lorries and other 3D projects because you have to paint them and they have some tight difficult to get to areas. And, as I H-A-T-E painting anyway, I thought it would be better to lower my...

    A few beginners attempts

Great first attempts Gary. When I first started I concentrated on simple cut out things but you've had a go at lots of types of scrolling. Well done. You just need to practice and practice and things will slowly improve. Barry
