    A picture for a change...

A nice one Martin, as ever. Did you ever get around to selling any of these to biker clubs?

    Wheels advice

The hardwood wheels you can buy look really good and I've used them several times myself. An alternative is to make your own. They are more rustic and simple in design but very cheap as you can use scrap offcuts of wood. What you need is a 'hole cutter set'. You can spend a lot of money on...

Flower(s) for Mothers Day & my offer to head office staff

You'll be having to give up the day job soon toesy and become a fulltime woodworker. You aren't far off it now ;-) Nice looking flowers and nice thoughts and actions. Well done.

    Hendrix

Hi Bob, I think 'reflections' was Diana Ross whereas 'purple haze' was definitely Hendrix  Great piece of cutting though. Barry

    Hendrix

Hey Joe, that's a great piece of cutting but I seem to have a purple haze around that picture . . . but it may be my monitor? Taxi for Bodger . . . .

You can get the identical, but COMPLETE, thing from Screwfix for £44.99 so this guy appears to be having a real laff.

Family name plaque - using Cherry Wood - WIP

Toesy, it looks wonderful with the names and a coat of oil and extremely professional looking. You really have taken to cutting, huh. Those names are so small and intricate and is a credit to your cutting skills and patience, of which, you have more than me ;-)

Family name plaque - using Cherry Wood - WIP

Really nice piece of professional cutting toesy. You are a natural and it's a pleasure to look at your cutting as it is so neat, straight and precise. You shouldn't have the same problems with cherry that you had with the pine. Thank you for showing the WIP, it should inspire and encourage...

    Source for thin plywood

Good work with the Latham's booklet extract Martin. Very interesting.

    Source for thin plywood

Thanks for updating us with your reply Stooby. If you are making hangers the knots are a no, no as they can be seen. For portraits and stuff it might be OK but I'd be concerned about the smooth cutting action if it suddenly hits a knot.

Vitrea 33 Oil for Meddings Scvroll Saw

Well, double struth !! I'm impressed with your combined knowledge about such viscous things. I never got beyond 3-in-1.

Reverse Tooth v Ultra Reverse Tooth

Many thanks for your point of view Geoff. Thanks for that Martin. Having a wider table presumably gives you more stability with wider pieces too.

    Struth . . . . good answer.

Reverse Tooth v Ultra Reverse Tooth

What was the reasoning behind the auxiliary table Martin? Was it just to get a much smaller hole around the blade or to increase the size of the table?

Reverse Tooth v Ultra Reverse Tooth

Very useful feedback, thank you very much that was very informative. I've tended to use Olson blades because they are very sharp, have angled-cut ends to help feeding the blade and I've only had to usually change them when they got blunt. However, Olson blades are expensive in the UK and...

Reverse Tooth v Ultra Reverse Tooth

Subject says it all really. I always tend to use the standard reverse tooth blades to help eliminate tear-out and mainly for a cleaner cut but I hear peeps talking about ultra reverse tooth blades and wondered what the advantages were. I've found a picture on the internet and they look a lot...
