    Tight or not tight enough

What make of blade? If you’re getting a good ‘ping’ the tension sounds okay. Cutting 6mm ply shouldn’t be a problem either. I’ve cut 25mm hardwood without issue if you take your time. Are you overly pushing the ply through instead of letting the blade dictate the pace?

Good honest answer Alex. Thank you. I know its difficult talking in a language other than your own. I live in Germany but cannot speak much German so use Google translate a lot. Hopefully, if anyone has any questions for you, you will be able to give them a reply. Thanks Alex Barry

It's a great pity we only hear from you when you want to sell a new pattern Alex. Fair play if you can get away with using the forum as an outlet for your website sales. You are a very talented designer and scroll saw artist and I wish you would contribute more to help others. We have some...

Funnily enough Andy, when I explain what a scroll saw is to my neighbours (who usually get scroll sawn gifts) I say its like a sewing machine but cuts things apart instead of joining things together. This is usually accompanied are frantic hand movements to illustrate the point. I usually get a...

    Scroll saw stand or table?

When we moved into our house in Germany I had my blockhous delivered and was fortunate to find some large carpets rolled up in the garage. The carpet dampens out the sound a treat and helps insulate it.

Funny man. My apology was to Ali for talking about fridges and beer instead of sitting down/standing up. Not for drinking and scrolling!!!

    Steve Ramsey

I'm not sure if any of you follow Steve Ramsey's (Woodworking for Mere Mortals) exploits on YouTube, but some time ago he posted a lovely tribute to Norm Abram's New Yankee Workshop which PBS has been taken off air after 21 years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMbzyDZ ... Q&index=28
