    Putter togetherer (scissor maker)

I'm still trying to make my mind up between the all-purpose scissors, the Moustache and Nose Scissors ( Ouch!) or the Golf Hole-Trimming Scissors (who knew??)

    Putter togetherer (scissor maker)

Excellent - thanks for sharing, there are some super videos on Vimeo. Not wanting to start anything but I'm pretty certain I saw a sharpening jig in use at ~20s in..., mind you I think this is pretty well balanced by all the other processes.

    Roof repairs

I guess it's all about context, but it sounds like it's an order of magnitude adrift. Unless this is your gaff?

    Replacement Bags for Dust extractor

Warning - I'm re-animating a dormant thread! Following up on hairywan's post - has anybody used these bags from MatMax? The FAB bags for the Festool CTL Midi at ~£20 for 5 are higher than the best prices for the genuine Festool article The longer life ZIP bag is ~£10, significantly cheaper...

    Light Reading

Well that earned me a groan, a look and the suggestion that there might be some jobs that need finishing... P.S. Made me laugh though.

    Workshop air filtration

I was about to start down the same route and was following some tips on this thread workshop-air-filter-t72222.html when I followed a link to some SIP T1000 badged Microclene 780 clones on Ebay(Microclone?) - I've not seen them around in a while, but at ~£30 it made building my own not worthwhile.

What I expect from Ebay sellers

This is what I expect from an Ebay seller, when I've paid in full and promptly I've fully upheld my end of the contract and thus deserve my 5* feedback: This is a really pleasant contrast to some I've had which are worded to the effect of leave positive feedback for us and then we'll leave it...

    Festool supplemental manuals

Not really sure of the best place for this - but it seems tip-like to me! I recently stumbled across a couple of Festool 'supplemental' manuals on the Festool USA site for the TS 55 REQ and MFT Table ; there may be small product variations to be aware of but I found them much better than the...

    paypal gift

Forgot to mention, one that was recommended to me is https://transferwise.com/ both for value and speed. We've used it for (smallish <£1000) transfers to and from US and Germany.

    paypal gift

Bob, Are you sending the money in Sterling or local currency? If it's thousands, and you're changing currency it's worth checking on some of the specialist foreign exchange sites. I had something recently from National Savings on sending money overseas, it may have been limited to European...

Ordered one of these the other day. One of the first in UK

I like the idea, and add a sheet of OSB you've got a semi-permanent bench (the Kickstarter site shows 2 guys standing on one!) - as a way of adding an assembly bench I think it's great - at the US prices. I've also worked with the equivalent shelters as Baldhead mentioned - we had a couple fail...

Ordered one of these the other day. One of the first in UK

I was tempted by one of these, I saw it on Kickstarter originally, for the US only Kickstarter price ($65 and $125 for small 4' x 2' and large 8' x 4' respectively including delivery) I was interested - I'd probably have bought one on impulse. I registered interest with the manufacturer and got...
