Festool - SA-LR 32 Side Stop - what is it - got it free?

I've searched but still not sure exactly what this is. I bought a OF1010 back in November from Miles Tools and they chucked in some extras which I've only just received! But as a gesture of goodwill they've also thrown in the above. It says its a Side Stop - is it only for use with the hole...

The Technology Company's new website - comments welcome ...

Sorry I've not been very active here. Been busy with the new venture. The shop's now been running almost 5 months (yikes) and I've just launched a full e-commerce website. It's pretty sparse at the moment - adding more products from the shop every day. But I would really appreciate forum...

Started an Astro-Physics course - any mathematicians here?

Miles What year were you at Birmingham Uni? I studied Physics there too - 1991-1994! BB I've still got my maths books - in fact all my books. I'll try and dig them out if Miles doesn't before me. But I'd start looking at some A Level books to be honest if you've not done maths for that long...

    Wireless USB LAN adapter help.

Is XP patched to at least service pack 2? Start|run|type winver and then return. Also try the manufacturer's website for latest drivers or try using windows update to find the latest driver. Let me know if you need help with any of this. Cheers Gidon

Attaching a sign to a crumbly wall?

Great thanks for all the suggestions. I'm a bit reluctant to drill too deep for frame fixings etc. The reason I was asking about drilling the resin / no nails is because I want to be able to take the sign down. I think I'll try the rawl plugs in no nails first. It's only a light frame - need to...

Attaching a sign to a crumbly wall?

Thanks. Steve with the resin stuff - could I not let it set (in oversize holes) and then drill it for the rawl plugs as if it was dense solid brickwork? I need to be able to remove the sign. Studders guess same question - will the no nails set hard enough to do the same thing? Cheers Gidon

Attaching a sign to a crumbly wall?

Hi all I spent a frustrating hour trying to attach an A1 sign to the outside of my shop. It's an old building and as I tightened the screws the rawl plugs were coming out with chunks of wall! It's not particuarly heavy - it's an A1 alu snap frame. I could put wooden battens up to attach the...

Gizmo for handling sheets of plasterboard etc

A method I've used (seen somewhere on the web) is to make a loop from some rope and hook it around the corners of the sheet and then use this as a carry handle - works pretty well. Cheers Gidon [EDIT - here's the method- although I don't botther with the hose and use thicker rope I have in the...

    The new shop!

Thanks Simon Good question wish I'd kept a good record. I reckon a good four weeks! What would a pro charge (albeit better) to make that lot do you reckon then I can see if it was a worthwhile investment?! Wouldn't have the same satisfaction though ... Cheers Gidon

Thanks Chaps - Rob - sorry the Domino survived . Cheers Gidon (PS Did think of downgrading to XP - have one license unused thanks though Tom - but the POS I've tried runs fine on Vista. Blimey wish I'd changed the desktop background in the shot ;)!)

    The new shop!

Correct wc! Chems - I won't be using the machine you see for anything apart from POS and some web browsing / ordering from suppliers!! I should say the door you see in the last pic goes through to another room the same size which is the stock room and where we'll be doing repairs etc :). Cheers...
