I'd never seen or used these before but they look nifty. What exactly is the difference and what are their pros and cons does anyone know? Can find very little info on them - they look ideal for attaching battens and such like ... Cheers Gidon

Wizer - yes finishing oil - it still looks ok 3 years and 2 more children on! It's Liberon finishing oil which at least offers some claim to being safe for children's toys IIRC. Cheers Gidon

That machine is the Scheppach Tiger 2500 - it's about £150. It is made in Germany unlike the cheaper Tiger 2000 and 2000s. Cheers Gidon

Ditto with the Bosch - very surprised the metal blade wouldn't cut through a screw! Sort of glad to hear it's the same with the Fein. I think for the price the Bosch is pretty good. I've always been impressed with Bosch green stuff value-wise - well made and not too many obvious corners cut...

It is handy - but you have to have "Tablet PC Optional Components" installed otherwise it's not available! Just hit the start button and type snip, and then return. If it can't find it install the Tablet PC option under windows features. Cheers Gidon

Chippy - wasn't meaning to slate Metabo - just frustrated with my machine failing on me just when I need it. Anyhow left it overnight with the button out (machine vertical to the button) and a load of oil around it. This morning the button is a lot better!! :) I'll just have to make sure I oil...
