This, is quite an amazing argument! Speed cameras are causing accidents because drivers are having to check their speed rather than, presumably, drive at whatever speed happens to feel right at the time whether that be over or under the speed limit?

It probably depends on how he is set up and how he makes them as to whether it's that much quicker. A decent spindle with the right tooling, tenoner and mortiser and it can be quite quick. As for cheating, no I don't think so, just a different product. Depends on how he's selling it really.

That's been my experience with the Domino, glad to hear I'm not the only one! I think I'll get a bit of aluminium plate from ebay and try and knock one up for myself for using with 18mm carcass material as it seems to be flat in that aspect. Not sure that I'd ever use it for 1/2" material.

I use confirmats, occasionally with dominos, but not often. The confirmats are very strong even if you have to take them out and put them back. The drill bit is a bit expensive and will break if you drop it :-(
