    Electric vehicles

But where is all this cheap electricity coming from? We are using more and more of it and the generating is struggling to keep up and as for the distribution!!!! I'm trying to 'De-carbonise' a number of buildings including schools by installing ASHP but we need more power ie a 3 phase supply...

    Electric vehicles

Yes Roger, numbers and capacity to charge quickly is the real issue. Has no one in the government, civil service, climate change people etc, gone down the M5 to Devon/Cornwall on a bank holiday!! There are queues already for fuel and it only takes 5 mins to fill and pay!! Phil

    Electric vehicles

    Daylight saving time?

Good idea. After all India is 5 1/2 hours ahead of us now so they clearly have a 1/2 hour compromise!! Phil

    Left Field

When making any planning application now,, one of the things that LAs are very keen on finding out about is how water will be disposed of and, if parking is involved, you must have permeable material. There is now permeable 'Tarmac' for such situations. Phil

    Daylight saving time?

Be thankful All of you that you don't live in China where I believe they have the same time over the whole country which otherwise would be divided by several different time zones!

    Royal Mail

I don't use the post often except at Christmas. I have two worries though Firstly as a stamp collector, I do buy and sell on you-know-what so the charges will be going up. Also, I have given up on modern GB stamps as they have so many issues a year now, many are either very 'Woke' or re-issues...

I remember them with a great deal of fondness. What wonderful wordsmiths they both were. The one I still remember was the, Frank Muir suggestion, as the the origin of 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious'. The explanation was a number of things he had to remember when his wife returned from...

101 uses for a hot melt glue gun.

What a lot of useful ideas for using hot glue. I must get mine out more often (they can't arrest me for that!) I use small dabs it for sticking sections of antler onto a wooden base, held in a chuck when I make Cufflinks for antler. It's the only way of holding a completely random shaped...

Or, Stuart, even Tweeksburg!! Almost as bad as my wife being asked by an American couple, as she stood on Magdalen Bridge, where was Magdaleen Bridge? You're standing on it, was all she could reply!

I live close to Bredon Hill (Bredon is Anglo-Saxon for Hill! Just like Avon means River) where we say 'If you can see the top of Bredon Hill, it's going to rain, if you can't see the top of the hill, it IS raining!! Phil
