Horrible Food Mistakes
Both are many years ago and perpetrated by my late father. Both occurred when my late mother was in hospital for a long period. The mistakes were:-
1 - My father thought it would be nice to bake a cake to take in to her. We had an old (even then, in the1950's) gas...
Yes, item 2 is a Pin Chuck but all of them need the basic holder which is threaded onto the lath.
I find the pin chuck very useful still for holding Natural Edge blanks.

No joke but funny.
Some time ago on a program on radio about tattoos, a young lad said he didn't know what to have tattooed on his arm, so he had the word...
Tattoo tattooed!!
Best flavoured Gin
Aber Falls Marmalade.
It tastes just like top quality marmalade. Found it in a hotel near Llangollen and keep buying it when I can.

Speed is as much determined by the hardness of the wood though different woods respond better to some systems than others.
It is for that reason that woodturners have so many tools!! Or so I tell my wife!!

I met Arthur a few times at a friend's Christmas parties. Lovely old boy. He worked for what was then a local Auctioneers, Bruton Knowles in Gloucester.
I remember one of his stories of how he was valuing a probate estate in the Forest, I think a small bungalow. He opened the cutlery draw...
Thanks for the info.
Looks like an investment is needed!!
Plus some elbow grease. What a shame there are no tins of that, it would make a fortune!!

Back to the man
I see he claimed his Uncle was torpedoed in the Falklands War. Was he serving on the Belgrano?
The truth needs to be told.
Or perhaps he was sunk by a sausage!!

Yes, a really brilliant batsman.
Sorry for those who don't follow the national sport, invented and developed in this country.
BUT, the match is heading for a draw!

Simple Question, so obviously a complicated answer!
So do I need to buy a tin?
I have an old Coronet Major, blue version, and a large Axminster bandsaw
If I need a tin, what do I buy?
Shortish answers please!
Thanks Phil
