    For the comments above, its not the planer side, its the thicknesser side im having the issue with. So nothing to do with infeed outfeed tables for surface planing. The thicknesser is a type that the table moves up and down, as opposed to the benchtop thicknessers where the blades and rollers...

    Thankyou for the replies guys. All had mentioned the spring tension. In my head, I thought - if the first roller has too much tension, surely its better as it will force the wood down flat. But still snipe So... what I think is happening is; Theres too much pressure on the first roller, thats...

    Hi guys, need help with snipe from my new tool. Just bought an Axminster AP260SPT planer thicknesser, which I upgraded from the Dewalt DW733. I constantly get snipe when using the thicknesser part. Its a cast iron table, no infeed table on it so I don't know how best to adjust it to stop snipe...
