    Bench Grinder/Sharpening wood turning chisles

i have used one of these on a woodwork course and seemed to work well (only listed this as the first search, so may not be the cheapest or best), also it was the larger one that costs more. http://www.dm-tools.co.uk/product.php/s ... 3IgIBKulMg you just put your tool in the jig at the right...

morse taper dirill bits - what are they used in or worthless

yes some are quite hefty. looking on here notice that they were for lathes but as said i have not seen them really used in any woodwork lathe video hence the question. so they would fit into the tailstock and then use to drill holes into metal, whereas woodwork would just use a spade or...

got a load of them from a relatives shed clearance, but absolutely no idea what they can be used with, or even if they are worth keeping as just taking up space. so any pointers from anyone what they can be used for? ta

Is there such a thing as an Egg Holder bit?

i think the forstner and a rounded off top may work, but it isnt as pretty as a smooth one. am waiting to see the outcome of someone using a radius core bit before i buy one :)

Performance power PP370WL - any good for starter?

hi all, there is a Performance power PP370WL lathe on a popular auction site that is currently dirt cheap and almost on my doorstep to collect. now i know it wont have massive features or be as good as a £300 jet/axi/etc but wondering how usable it would be to start with? it has the tool rests...

    Elephant bandsaw box

dunno! a lot of videos seem to say sand it down with fine grit just to take back any raised grain because of the stain, but if it is a practice piece then depends how much you want to do. pine end grain soaks in really easy and can look 'fluffy' from experience, but when you go to other wood it...

some driftwood a niece brought back for the firepit, but decided to experiment and come out quite nice. bottom of 2 were hand planed down, the 2'er was planed both sides and had danish oil applied, and the single was an experiment to see what it would look like 'on edge'. so just getting back...

    Super glue

i bought a lock from there to test some engraving as it was cheap. turned the key and the U part flew across the room, turns out it didnt have anything to keep the end in the lock! but as i have always said (and found out occasionally), poundland is good for odds and sods, but the tools are...
