    Tell me about Mgnets!

Righty, tried to search on here but to be fair, the search is a bit pants so difficult to drill down. Interested in testing a few ideas that involve magnets, but no idea where or what to look at. Initial requirements are fridge magnets and also larger ones for the 'bottle opener' projects that...

How to make simple scrolled items nicer to sell?

Thanks all. The egg cups, afraid that was something I read about ages ago and researching and found there is one retailer that does sell these at quite a price, also doubling as napkin holders, but the original article was from someone who sells them but put it on a blog. But it's a case of...

How to make simple scrolled items nicer to sell?

As said, i have read a lot on here and elsewhere, and not expecting anything major, but just got the saw back into action so starting to have a play around, and nothing on here that 95% of scrollers have either done or did better just for practicing! But Oak is loads nicer than pine to scroll...

How to make simple scrolled items nicer to sell?

Now first of all i am not expecting to retire on proceeds, but as something to do in my spare time and if someone wants to pay money, even better. Also initial requirements is to break even with wood and tools, time will be here and there, so a spare 1/2 hour in the day and suchlike. so from...

i use them at home, i have the 500Mb ones, and get generally around 3ish Mb speed, you never get the rated. this is with house wiring about 2 years old, and on a different spur, the downstairs is by the router and the other in my office on the upstairs circuit. Also worth mentioning, we have a...

    Initial and puzzle name plaque.

Not used the saw for ages, mainly as i hated the new pinless attachments that i fitted to my old axi scrollsaw (was well used when i bought it from here), so got round to reftting the pinned fittings and used the other fitting for attaching pinless blades which is only slightly less annoying and...

Things I'm learning as a novice

use the correct pencil! I was always told to use 2H as it is quite soft so won't mark the wood and also easy to rub out.

Bit extreme just to change an email address, i just delete the account and add a new one  I had the microsoft call the other year saying my pc had uploaded an error report to them via the internet, call lasted ages, pretended i was unsure, asked him to repeat things, replied with things...

What did you do in your workshop today ?

Gave it a tidy as doubles as outhouse so every surface had something on that has a home elsewhere, tidied the wire for the fluorescent light I fitted the other week (just into normal plug) so it is not hanging anywhere, cleaned the sink so it is now clean (well no soil, sand or bits in it) but...

    New business idea. Can't fail.

ebay went pants when selling anything less than £10 was not worth it as the costs were almost 3/4 of that once paid for and suchlike. rarely sell on ebay now as everyone wants to either buy things for pennies or sell at massive markups.

righty, they finally turned up, around a month from ordering, but that is china post for you! first, this is what they are, keyring openers, cost around $14 for 6 including postage so worked out to i think £1.66 each or around £10. now the screw to hold them is TINY, even the smallest...
