A comon problem with blade clamps over a period of time the end of the tightening bolt gets covered in crud which causes the blades to slip. I would clean the end of the bolt and the one of the left hand saide as well.

Martin. I use in the main 3s, 5s and 7s and that covers just about everything from thin ply up to 3/4 hardwood. I would strongly urge you to try some FD ultra reverse blades as soon as you can, I feel they will give you a new experience in scrolling.

I keep my blades in test tubes with caps available from e-bay. I have a carousel I made on the lathe that holds 12 tubes. If you buy tubes make sure they are the 6 inch ones.

Blades from silverline are c**p. The best blades are Flyin Dutchman from Mikes workshop, especially the ultra reverse. If you were to use one of these blades you would not believe the difference to a silverline blade. It will transform your scroll sawing experience.
