Yes lip at the bottom as I don't have the groove in the tool rest. Those measurements seem to be fine I've never handled the Sorby in jig in person though. I measured my tool rest if it helps 5mmx70mmx100mm Thank you again.

That's very kind of you. I would prefer the lip at the bottom and an adjustable fence would be good incase my tool rest is not square to the wheel.

I'm not too familiar with the variety of plastics available with 3d printing so thank you for your advice I am using a CBN wheel which keeps heat a bit lower.

Thanks everyone might keep an eye out for some old firmers as they seem to be less in demand than BE chisels. Then get a correct size mortice chisel as I need it for larger jobs when I have a few mortices to do.

I have a set of old boxwood chisels, I keep them sharp and use them after my plastic handle ones to tidy up my work with just light paring or gentle taps.

Hey everyone, Came across this saw helping a friend clear out a garage, initially I thought it was a saw with a depth stop then saw the second row of teeth. Any idea of its intended use? Common or uncommon tool? Ive never seen anything like this before.

I checked my square @Chippymint and the lines were identical. I'm going to pare off the ledge formed and check again. If it's still out I'll replace the fence with square set out as above.
