    Superb Martin, You made a cracking job of the tailvise. dont worry about about using it now......because you know how you finished it..... a good flatten once a year will get rid of the user maks.....i was hesitent at first but now it gets full abuse and i've reflattened...

    I thought that too...i have both LN and LV but my little infill thumb plane i made from the shepherd kit gets more play than either of the above.Cant explain why because it doesnt perform better than the others but it just feels better and more comfortable to use....downside is it has brass...

    Thanks for the vote of confidence Steve......I will still be doing the odd thing but not until my work realise that there are only 24 hrs in a day and not 48...I have just done 217hrs in 14 days and i'm knackered...and unfortunately the WTD doesnt cover me. cheers Ian

    90 degrees

    Whatever equipement you feel comfortable and confident in that will give you a perfect 90. if you cant get a good 90 shoot it on a board. there are many ways to cut wood but stick to what works best for you....if you want to experiment use scrap pieces until your confident it'll cut the angle...
