    Coronavirus

It is very difficult to discuss this without mentioning what The Government is doing about it. It is very difficult to filter out political point scoring without upsetting somebody. This thread is going the same way as the BBC/ Brexit thread. I know I cant win with the moderating, some will...

You know that old joke ...

.. When I'm gone I hope she doesn't sell my tools for what I told her they cost! It may well be sensible in the current climate with the real chance of the more senior or not so healthy of us falling seriously ill to maybe make an inventory with sensible 'sale' prices of the kit to save the...

    Latest Vodafone rip-off

I understand your frustration Roger but can please refrain from using the protracted profanity (fecker, effing, and c**t from a previous post for example). It's unnecessary. The same goes for everyone else.

    Help on cutting worktop joints.

It's all to do with the direction of spin of the router and the front edge of the worktop. If you didn't turn the w'top over the router would likely take a chunk off the front edge you want to keep because the rotation of the router bit would be heading toward the front edge and push it off the...

    Electric vehicles

Regards 'mpg' It seems the manufacturers quote miles per kWh. e.g. The E-Golf is quoted as 4miles per kWh. (and has a range of 120 miles.) I assume that this is related to the battery capacity. My electricity bills show I pay (lets say) 12p per kWh. Is it as simple as 12p will get me 4...

Which will become a darn sight rarer the more EVs that are produced. Is there enough of these resources ? A quick google (so it must be true)(at the time of publication) says that there are/were an estimated 1.3 billion cars on the road in the world and at the then current growth rates that...

    First post bandsaw advice

Check out the blade buying guide on Tuffsaws site https://www.tuffsaws.co.uk/index.php?ro ... tion_id=25 It is more than likely the offset of the teeth that create a thicker cut than previously, especially if the old blade has been used and abused.
