    Hole cutting query

I'd +1 for Petes suggestion about the quality of the wood you are using. Not an issue with pine in general just the piece you seem to be using. Have a look for any local joinery firms and ask if you can have a rummage through their scrap bins.

Had one of those #-o moments, and had a search for 'mini cooper stencil' and lo and behold... https://www.etsy.com/listing/204803703/ ... or-stencil looks like this

Making a toy car with a scrollsaw (or maybe a bandsaw)

Finished! messed up the decoration but it all adds to the character  and a five year old probably won't care.

    Any Plumbers here?

I'm not going to be cutting anything, merely closing and disconnecting the existing stopcock and teeing in to the (nearest) cold supply with the new one.

    Rough as ten!

Not yet. Find a '(Original) Mini Line Drawing' on line, and then blob the corners off with paint/ Gimp/ editor of choice The beetle started with https://uk.pinterest.com/pin/418412621602465149/ which became all pure guesswork on my part, there's probably better ways of doing it, but if...

    Any Plumbers here?

I'm waiting on a phone call from Welsh Water planning/ site man whatever he's called, to arrange a visit to tell me his requirements etc. The shared supply feeds something ridiculous like 10 or more houses and WW cannot find the leak - they mentioned litres per hour! If I install a new supply...

    Any Plumbers here?

Joy of joys! Low water pressure due to leak on shared supply somewhere under terrace of houses. Only solution is to run new supply from pavement at front of house, and yep! you've guessed, all plumbing is at rear of house and ground floor in extensions. I'm not going to be digging up floors and...

    Rough as ten!

But learnt a few what not to dos along the way. Mainly, make lines either 1 blade thick or at least 3 or 4 thick, cos when you try to cut two right next to each other the blade drifts in and out and makes a smooth line nigh on impossible. That along with my inexperience, over-eagerness and lack...

Access training!? Anybody used them? Need help to get quals

Speak to an emigration agency or two and find out what you need. I suspect that being employed as a carpenter for years will be more relevant than a C&G cert. I'm not an employer but every 'hands on' job I've ever applied for or had has paid no heed to qualifications, i.e. the requirement is the...

Cheers Brian. It is an airbrush of much cheapness, I don't think it even has a needle :)

    Links!

No not hyperlinks. Or sausages. Or a type of golf course. Or cash machines. But something I just found on the reverse side of an old tape measure I found in the dark cobwebby recesses of the garage clear out. A link is exactly 66⁄100 of a foot, or exactly 7.92 inches. Apparently :) Not...

Looking for help with a project

Something like these? https://www.pentfitness.com/lova-tm https://www.pentfitness.com/luxury-dumbbells-set I think the lack of response could be down to the fact that Whilst there are one or two pro turners here (and quite a few enthusiastic amateurs ) I'm not sure that any of them would be...
