CNC Birch Ply Project - need help with a quote

Try Sign and Print in Ystalyvera near Swansea. Primarily sign makers but they also CNC ply for other projects. They have customers all over south Wales so delivery shouldn't be an issue. I have no idea on prices but probably worth a phone call. Ask for Rob or Matthew.

1mm recess for inlaying A4 steel plate?

How about the largest forstner bit you have in a pillar drill with a depth stop to remove the bulk and then the sharp chisel to remove the waste between circles and do the edges. you'll obviously have lots of divots from the point of the drill but if the plates being fixed in it shouldn't really...

    HELP PLEASE!

As phil says but you need to 'start a new topic' in the same forum as the draft was created. So if it was metalwork, go there, click the start a new topic button as if you were starting a new topic and you should then have a load draft button next to the save draft button in the usual place.

Advice on an Electric Rebate Planer

I think you'll find that most planers have a blade the width of the base of the planer and that the 'rebate' can only be made on the edge of a piece of timber. i.e. the blade goes to the edge of the plane and there is a fence/guide or stop on the base to adjust the width of the rebate like the...

    Advice for beginner

If you feel you could turn a bowl again without your late fathers guidance, how about two bowls together? similar to this pic but only two pieces. Flat faces could be glued together rather than a tenon type fit between bowls. edit: Dalboy beat me to it.

    Drill bit for ceramic tiles?

I think you may require a drill bit for porcelain and not ceramic. They're more expensive of course and an awkward shape too*, no point or taper. Some come with little guide that suction fits to the wall and fills with water to cool the bit. *they're just a round section the size of the hole...
