    Best-looking woodworker's cat

Well, I think Charley has cheated a bit submitting a kitten photo from years ago, so I will have to as well. Here is Harry on one of his first outings outdoors almost 11 years ago. My woodworker's cat training obviously paid off as the little squirt made straight for the saw horse to examine...

    can anybody id this timber???

Noely, I popped the image which my browser cached earlier onto my UploadIt account so that you can finally start getting some answers to your question - hope you don't mind! Here is the elusive mystery image: NeilCFD

    can anybody id this timber???

Works for me doing CYC's method, and having cached it, it appears in the forum topic too... Oh, and now it doesn't work... NeilCFD

    Using Images (Beginners guide)

The nesting to avoid having massive images directly in posts is a brilliant idea - some of the topics are getting quite 'graphics-intensive' and this is a great way to make things more user-friendly for dial-up users. Thanks for posting this, Adam :)

what to buy in the US

How about getting some router cutters? Nice & small and light for fitting into your luggage and some nice savings to be made. I almost bought the Infinity rebating set which Charley reviewed a while back, and I worked out that even with delivery, duty & VAT it would have been cheaper than CMT...

    Axminster CT150 Planer

Hi John, The CT150 is on my wish-list too, so I was glad to read your positive comments - particularly about build quality. Also thanks for the heads-up about the manual being available for download - it wasn't the last time I looked so it must have been put on in the last couple of weeks...

    mitre saw advice

You could get a Trend bushing washer to take a 30mm bore blade down to 20mm - £1.83 in the Trend catalogue, p. 155. Never used one though, so I wouldn't like to say if they were a good idea. NeilCFD

    Best-looking woodworker's cat

Well, Mogswell would certainly win the fluffiest cat contest anyway - I've never seen anything like it. See what you mean about the energy (or lack of) - could be very useful as a workshop draught excluder  Seriously though, this picture does him much better justice - a very handsome...

    Best-looking woodworker's cat

Nice topic John! Well, my 11-year-old cat Harry (or the Ginger Whinger as I call him these days) may not be able to compete for the title of best-looking (I think Alf has this sewn up already), but I am willing to bet that he is the most lethal killing machine out there... Over the years he...

Panel saw jig (From GWW 143)

You don't need that much space because the uprights unclip from the rails and can be stored in the roofspace - as long as you can move stuff around to make this amount of floor/wall space in the first place, you can fit one in easily :) NeilCFD

    Start of the new Project

Hi Chris, I'd be interested to see what you get up to re: automation - I think if I attempted it, I could manage the software side with a bit of practise but I'd struggle with the interfacing to the mechanical side - can you keep me posted if you develop anything? Thanks, NeilCFD

does this look any good to you guys????

Pete, If you do go for the Metabo Duo, it appears that the offer on DM-tools with two Bessey clamps is still there, it is just well hidden: http://www.dm-tools.co.uk/store/browse. ... TSXE450BES Sorry, a bit off-topic I know  NeilCFD
