    Help needed about inherited tools

Sorry everyone - it wasn't meant to be a gloat  as I feel very unlucky really - I would much rather still have the person who I inherited them from  Very generous offer about the bullnose, Alf, especially in these days of escalating bin charges, but after due consideration I've...

    Help needed about inherited tools

Poor Alf, your keyboard must be worn out after 1000+ posts and now I have to dump this lot on you... I've inherited some hand tools so I thought that I would show you all, and ask for some advice on care/restoration and identification in a couple of cases. Sorry about the big download for the...

Or the Bosch POF500A which DaveL spotted for £25 on offer at homebase: https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1520&highlight=bosch Very similar to the T3. It is £70 in Machine Mart so this looks like quite a bargain - if fact at £25 I would get one myself just to have as a...

    Picture Testing

The only problem I see with that is that you will have to dial up with Eircom in order to upload to your website - they won't let you if you are connected via another ISP :( Noely, I'm not sure what the deal is with Virgin re: webspace, but it could be worth a look. NeilCFD

    Picture Testing

I think you're right, Adam - either using your ISP or taking out a paid subscription to pbase is the way to go. NeilCFD

    Using Geocities for Picture Posting

Hi Noely, Well, I'm sorry I hadn't spotted that about Geocities  - I just tested mine and it worked fine, so I thought it was OK. Sorry Noely  It might be worth a go on UploadIt again, Noely - if the images are bigger than 200kb, they are probably a bit big for the forum...

    Festo Circular Saw

Hi Jake, Is there any chance you could send me a PM with the identity of the mysterious retailer who discounts Festool? I'm guessing you're not referring to Rutlands' occasional 10% off sales  Thanks, NeilCFD

What to do with a very long plank

Noely, I don't think you're getting it wrong - I think it is a problem with ImageStation. It seems to be reluctant to allow linking to its images from external websites, but annoyingly instead of not working at all, it occasionally allows them to be accessed. Have a look at www.uploadit.org...

Thanks Alf. Shame about the crack  - still looks better than the example on Blood & Gore though :D NeilCFD

    The addiction is taking hold

Oooh... they look very nice - I think I'm with you on preferring this finish to RareBear's shiny look. I particularly like the plane at the back, Alf - what is it? Also what is that little widget next to the brace? NeilCFD

    Best-looking Woodworkers' Dogs.

It is taken on Streedagh Strand near Grange, Co. Sligo. The water behind is the estuary which lies between the strand and the mainland. The mountain behind is the wonderful Benbulben - it looks a bit squashed as the photo was taken down at ground level to fit a very small puppy in! It is one...
