    Quick Biccy Jointer question

Hi Steve, The problem with the Ferm is that the quality control seems to be so bad, so there are a very high proportion of lemons out there. I was lucky in two ways - I got one for £25 (I think they are back up to £40 now) and I got a fairly good example. Having said that, I would still love...

    Axminster Pocket hole jig

Hi Shady, Well, if it is anything like the Trend version, you may be out of luck: The manual for the Trend is here in case it is of some use :) NeilCFD

    Triton Routers (and other options)

Just something to watch out for with this model, Steve - the opening in the base is only 37mm diameter, so you couldn't use some fairly run-of-the-mill bits without taking a file to the base first. NeilCFD

    Triton Routers (and other options)

There is quite an in-depth review of the Triton here if you are still considering it, Steve - just in case Trend Machinery's top salesman Newbie_Neil doesn't manage to persuade you that the T9 is the best option :P NeilCFD

    Triton Routers (and other options)

...or the Trend T9 which I think will be compatible with your Elu fences/guide bushes (but which has always looked a bit overpriced to me) NeilCFD

    The Salvager on H+L

I could only bear it for half of one episode, but the one redeeming feature is that at least he isn't murdering nice pieces of timber - unlike Boyz in the Wood  NeilCFD

Hi CYC, Is the manual on Axminster's site any better? Or is it the same as the one which came with the machine? NeilCFD

    Triton Routers (and other options)

Morning Steve, I think if you were to go for the Triton, it would be best to put that in the table, as it is designed specificially with that in mind, isn't it? Then you could use the Elu as your bench router. Alternatively, if you are happy with the Elu in the bench, how about considering...

    Cheap Tools-and it shows.......

Not the only one - I'm married to an artist too, and she insists on us buying quality tools - at least for the tools which she has use for 8). Unfortunately she isn't a big L-N user  So, the conclusion must be, if you want to have an easy time from SWMBO on tool purchases, marry an...
