Does anyone have/know of green house plans?

Hi Nick, Probably the best thing to do is to PM Keith himself (hope that link works, never tried to do a PM link before...) Cheers, Neil

Does anyone have/know of green house plans?

Hi Nick, Keith Smith did a very detailed description of a greenhouse build in The Woodworker magazine a while ago. I haven't read it, but apparently it was an excellent article - see the relevant thread here. Maybe you could get a back issue? Cheers, Neil

    A Benchtop Raiser

Cor, these raisers are definitely the new 'must have' on UKWorkshop, aren't they? Looks great, Wizer - nicely made 8) Cheers, Neil

    The ultimate workshop

Me neither, but we're in the minority on this one, Tim - Tommy's braces are (almost unbelievably) number 3 on the Axminster best sellers list  No wonder he got to make the program if he's that popular... Cheers, Neil

JessEm MastRslide Table Review - LONG - *Pics*

Thanks for a great review, Garrett, and a great set-up guide for anyone else lucky enough to get one of these! =P~ I am seriously impressed with the quality of the Jessem kit - your review has prompted me to consider the Jessem mitre gauge (the Mite R Excel) as an alternative to the Incra &...

    Norm's Hand Held Bobbin Sander

In fact I think that is an ex. VAT price so it is probably more like $600! Neil

    Norm's Hand Held Bobbin Sander

When Norm has used it, it has been for things that are too big & heavy to take to his static version - eg this mornings episode was a king-size bed headboard. Cheers, Neil

    Norm's Hand Held Bobbin Sander

I tell a lie - it is on the Porter Cable UK website under sanders. Quite steep at £296.55 though  - I bet you didn't have to pay $513 for it, Dave! Cheers, Neil <edit, oops, crossed over with froglet & wizer there

    Norm's Hand Held Bobbin Sander

That sad website which lists all of Norm's tools episode by episode comes in useful here  - this must be the one you mean, Woody? http://woodbutcher.net/images/normstools/pc-121.htm According to the site it had already been around for a couple of years before Norm used it. The first...

    Just catching up!

Welcome back, Aragorn, and many congratulations on number 3 - I hope he sleeps better than my little one! So I guess you'll have no space for your Jet 60A now   Cheers, Neil

    Modern Furniture Book

Thanks for that, Scrit - I think I'll hold fire on the £35 one, but I'll keep looking for a cheaper copy. Cheers, Neil

    Modern Furniture Book

Scrit, I don't suppose you know if the second book is just a rehash of the work in the first one, do you? I have "Solid-Wood Cabinet Construction" and love it, and I've found a second-hand bookshop with a copy of the earlier book but it is pretty expensive (£35) so I don't really want to buy it...

Stoopid question on (new) random orbit sander +++

Happy birthday, Gidon! :D Unless I'm missing something, I don't think there is any direct way to tell which orbit it is in, which annoys me a bit I must admit. Once you have a bit of muck on the abrasive its easy to tell anyway - you can see the little orbits quite clearly as the tool slows...

    Please recommend an SDS drill?

Hi Gidon, Axminster have a Bosch GBH2-SR SDS+ drill for £92.52 on their clearance items list, and according to my Googling it has roto-stop. Might be a good option if you want a bargain? Cheers, Neil

    Router table plate

BeeJay, Have you considered the Jessem aluminium plate (£40 from Rutlands) - its certainly the route I would go down now if I was getting a new plate. Its also almost exactly the size you specified :) The link is in my post here if you are interested. Cheers, Neil

    Fine WoodWorking Mag.....

I think you're right... maybe someone like Tony would be able to help? Looks very easy to me - chain drives, limit switches... I must admit I'm struggling to see how they can even remotely justify their prices! Keep us posted if you go down the DIY route - I would like to do something like...

I followed the link Chris gave - you could just about afford an S&S for the price of some of those lifts! Cheers, Neil

    Interior Window Shutters

Hi Mike, OK, here are a few pics, sorry about the long post and the rushed photography. I think these are the tallest ones: Each panel is 147 x 43 cm. The hinged edge is bevelled at 45 degrees so that they can open out fully (sorry its blurred ): Construction looks fairly...
