    Important lesson for beginers

Hi Bob, I'm about 250km north of Villeneuve sur Lot. About 40km north of Limoges. If you're passing on the way down (if you're driving) pop in. Or if you fancy the trip up you're welcome. Send me a pm and I'll give you my address. And Tom you're welcome too, any time, bring your daughter. Not...

    Anybody watch "The Wood Whisperer"?

I've being watching him for a while and think he's great. When I first switched on he (Marc) had a baseball cap on the wrong way round and I thought 'Oh no, cocky American kid, who probably knows nothing'. Couldn't have been more wrong! I think he's entertaining and makes the learning...

I think you're next on the hit lisy Wizer. I was telling Chris, my 9 year old daughter is in to woodworking and looks over my shoulder when I'm on the forum and reads everything and for some reason she always asks about you (could be something to do with the number of posts I think)! She asks...

Hi, I've just been lucky enough to have had a weeks tuition with Mr. T (aka Chris Tribe), and even luckier that it was in my workshop, using my machines. Ian - Bandsaw Blade man - help!!

Can I just clarify that I'm pretty sure that it's MY email that is at fault and there is nothing wrong with Ian's as far as I know. But thanks for all your input. I've sent Ian another email on a different address and hopefully he is dealing with it. Thanks Froggy.

Ian - Bandsaw Blade man - help!!

I think it's probably my email that's at fault Matt. I've had a few problems with it in the past. I sometimes get the same 'undeliverable' message when I email my sister at the same email address I have used hundreds of times in the past.

    Axminster Powertool Centre

Totally agree. I had a similar experience with something less expensive than a Dom. I was ready for the usual 'couldn't-care-less' attitude and a big argument, but was amazed and delighted with the 'no fuss, no drama' attitude and a replacement sent immediately. Rare you get that sort of...

I think you should go back and give him another £50. You'll still have a bargain and it sounds like he needs it.

    Help!! Tear out.

You're absolutely right there Jim. I think it's worse when you're near the end of a job as I am with this. Made me feel bad all day yesterday, but....Thanks to Harry I did give the belt sander a go and to my suprise and joy I've managed to get rid of the gouges with no obvious dip in the table...
