Hi I'm new to turning and recently discovered I need a new chuck as the one that came with the lathe can only clamp pieces between about 50-90mm and I would like a chuck that can grip smaller objects. Rather than choose one randomly and waste my money I thought you guys could point me in the...

    Deliveries to Europe

A few years ago a member and friend, John McKinney, told me about a company called Parcels Please who would pick up a parcel of 60 x 60 x 30cm and up to 30 kls and deliver it to France for around £20. To Bling or not to Bling

Normally I would say restore - I like what you do with these old machines, but this one looks beautiful as is. Leave it be.

    What's your favourite wood?????

As I've only ever worked with Cherry, Oak, Chestnut and Pine (all ready available and relatively inexpensive) I would have to say Cherry. But I change my mind alot and at any point in time it could easily be one of the others.

    Wealden's guide bearings

Just to update everyone - a very nice lady called Monica got in touch with me and apologised for missing my email.
