Recomendations for 1/2" router and table

I doubt this kind of thing is up to the standard you're looking for, but ... a number of vendors sell variations on this model, which has the one benefit that it's cheap. As well as the site linked, Rutland, Lumberjack and I guess many others sell it. If you need better than that, you are, as...

    Rutlands Router table.... Any Good

Mine's flat enough - I just have to make sure I don't breathe too hard when I'm using it 😱

    Rutlands Router table.... Any Good

I have the Excel router table, which is a rebadged version of the one pictured in the original post. It suits me, and works well, and was all I could justify at the time. It’s not a professional tool and it needs a lot of care and patience to if you want precise, accurate cuts, although with...

    Rutlands Warning!

A more accurate description would say that they sell the same things under their brand name that many others (Excel, Lumberjack, Axminster, for example) sell 7nder their brand names at prices which are sometimes higher, sometimes lower, depending on whose got a deal on. Hardly any (maybe none)...

I just want a nice METRIC ONLY comination square

Since it was me that said that, let me also point you to my subsequent post:

I just want a nice METRIC ONLY comination square

Sure - I'm just saying that accuracy is the main thing - not that it's the only thing. No point in its being ethical and sustainable if it doesn't work

I just want a nice METRIC ONLY comination square

Isn't this the main thing? The OP wants a good quality, metric-only square. It seems to me that this is a good bet if Starrett/Mitutoyo are out of reach

I just want a nice METRIC ONLY comination square

Good point. Mine don't have a country of manufacture marked on them, so they probably are made elsewhere. Thanks. That said, they are good accurate squares and metric only

I just want a nice METRIC ONLY comination square

Look at Pretsch - German made, very good value. , well put together and not very expensive (and metric only)

    Lumberjack RT1500 - any reviews/comments/thoughts?

I have the Excel, which is the same product with a different badge on it. It's been reliable and worked well with 1/4" and 1/2" bits. The only weakness I've found so far is the user (i.e. me)

    Digital Calipers

Cheap ones can be pretty accurate, but quality control is such that it's a matter of luck whether you get the good ones. Their big drawback is that the batteries don't last because they don't fully power off, even when switched off - that's why people often remove the battery when they're not in...

    Which Coffee Machine?

Any decent espresso machine will produce as much coffee as you want; you may have to spend a little setup time at the outset to get the volume & strength you want (although some don't even need that). But if you like instant coffee, stick with it. No reason to change just because some people...

    Which Coffee Machine?

If the coffee has substance, that's plenty. I use a Sage espresso machine (or occasionally a Mocha pot or cafetière) and very fresh beans. Two cups a day satisfies.

Yup Espresso's a special case. Everything else is a different method of doing what you do.
