Water Putty - 18 months too late

"Is that a worlds longest TUIT? " Adam, I'm sorry to dampen your expectations, but you'll find it difficult to beat mine. I started carving a bowl for my wife when we'd been married a couple of years. We've just celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary, and my wife has forgotten all about it...

    Another pocket hole jig question..

Mike, thanks for that. I'll await your findings with interest. On a totally different subject, can I ask you if you know what a cord of wood is? Read about it in a book written by an American, and I can't find any info. Thanks! Regards from across the pond, John

    Another pocket hole jig question..

If the worst comes to the worst, I'll take a couple of short pieces of 2" x 2" to the Axminster Show in November, and hope that the same helpful guy is there. And some money, of course, to buy a Kreg if it does the job I want it to. But it'd be nice to know the answer earlier... :roll...

    Another pocket hole jig question..

Isn't there anyone out in the woodyard who uses longer screws? I'd be so grateful if someone could run this test for me. Regards, John

    Another pocket hole jig question..

starts with a Gloat - I went to Yandles yesterday! I managed to get away without spending much, but I found it so useful to see stuff demonstrated, and I came away with all sorts of ideas. I was impressed by the Kreg jig, but the literature says it'll cope with material up to 1 1/2" thick...

    Picasa 2

Well blow me down! That's perishin' clever, thank goodness I've just got a g-mail account, wouldn't know how to change my default e-mail thing, but g-mail does the necessary for me. Nothing like a nice big button, eh? Thanks, guys. Regards, John

    Picasa 2

I'd appreciate some assistance. I love this programme, and have been happily transferring all my photos to it, and downoad direct from my camera onto it. But I hit a dilemma when I wanted to attach a photo to an e-mail. I simply can't find where Picasa has stored all my photos! I'm not very...

Slim, does that mean you don't have to pay municipal taxes if you don't exist? I haven't yet found an airport where a plane is actually on the runway, but if you look at Malaga harbour (Southern Spain) there's a very big container ship docking itself by using bow and stern thrusters. Regards...

    Earth Google

I've been playing with this programme for a couple of weeks now - great fun! But the quality is only really good in USA and the odd tourist spots around the world. Has anyone found another country yet which is as good a quality? And on the subject of Google, does anyone know how to get a...

    fuel guage

I saw diesel at 98.9p per litre in the London area last week. I'm glad I filled up at home in sunny Devon (94.9p at Morrisons) before I set off! It still cost me £80 to fill my Frontera. Any way, the £1 litre is very close, and probably won't stop there. :( Getting depressed now, John
