    Jigsaw and drill advice

WonderWoman (What happened to Seahorse  ) When drilling with the spade bits drill about half way through (Or until the spike has come through the back) and then turn the piece around and drill through from the other side, you'll get a better finish.

    Switch for Router Table

If anyone does decide to make their own, Make sure the relay coil is a 240v ac type, most relays have dc coils (i.e. 12v dc or 24v dc etc) this type won't work in this circuit, the ac types tend to be harder to get hold of. Relays have a coil voltage and a contact rating voltage/current, make...

Les, I had a look all right and as you said a good list came up, certainly more than I've seen in the past, If I was going to chase up on from the buy and Sell I'd have to leave it until after Christmas, which is what I think I'll do.

    £24.99 Router Table

Making your own router table doesn't have to be a mammoth project, I made one a few years ago when I needed one in a hurry and I reckon it took about 2 hours . Basically all you have to do is cut two pieces of plywood (each one the size of the required router table top) Take one sheet...

Yet again, thanks for all the replies, after reading through the posts it would probably be a good idea to give you some background info: I'm not new to woodwork but a bit out of practice. 18 years since I left school, did wood work up to Leaving cert level (A-Level) Got top marks in Irish...

    What starter lathe?

Hi All, First post here. I've never done any wood turning but I'd like to start. What would be a good starter lathe to get? I've been looking at some of the SIP models as I have a SIP table saw and it's great considering what it cost, what do you think? I'd also consider second hand if there...
