    Sausages

Actually you can be sure........ they're made of all the nasty bits. Can't help i'm afraid, but I'll watch with interest to see what other replies this gets. Butchers suppliers might be worth trying, I'm sure you can find them in the yellow pages. Then all you'll need is some nice recipes.

    Turning Pens

Those are encouraging comments. I've committed to buying a SH CL3, from a good source :D Reckoned I'd bite the bullet straight off, I'm sure I'll manage with the manual speed change. I've read a good few chapters of Keith Rowleys book. And my better half is buying me the 6 piece RP spindle...

    Soldering

Make sure the jigsaw has variable speed and cut at a slow speed. Aldi had a variable speed jigsaw (last week I think, might have some left) has variable speed, well made and very good value for £20.

    Soldering

You can roughly cut out perspex with a saw and then file the edges square, it would be a lot cheaper.

    Plane handles

Hi, I bought a Record #4 on ebay which has a cracked/broken handle which may be fixable. My father has a Stanley #4 for which he has a spare handle. Would the Stanley handle fit the Record? Or where can spare handles be gotten?

    Condensation or Dew

There is a sheet material available now with a non drip surface, not sure who makes it, but could find out. There may be some way of coating the underside of the sheeting to make it non drip.

Waka, Thanks for that, there are a number of different hinges and brackets, some are suitable for these particular screws which you have to pre drill the carcas for these, and some have a smaller hole for screws. Does anyone else get this type of hassle ?

JFC wrote: No wonder you moved!! It sounds like he expects you to do it for nothing at his convenience and would probably wreck your head even more if he wasn't happy with the results. If he was annoying my head like that I'd tell him to f off as well, he's way OTT and out of order.

    Matching Teak Finish

Hi Paul, I've used colron wood die to change the colour of timber to match an existing piece. You might not be able to get the exact colour straight from the tin (there are about 12 colours in the range) but you can buy different colours and mix them, buy the one that's closest and if you think...

What size turning tools to start with?

I reckon you're right, I don't suppose a guy in a market/boot sale will be impressed if I ask him if I can grind it before buying, "I've got a genny and a grinder in my boot, do you mind if...."
