    Festool OF2200 vs 1400

I have the 1400 and the 1010 and only on very rare occasions do I wish I had something bigger. I also have a small bosch, like the Makita, for rounding over edges etc when dust collection isn't important.

    Bandsaw upgrade

I have no experience of Record bandsaws but I do have other Record machines. The quality of the smallest Hammer is excellent, it can cope with everything I have...

    David Charlesworth's Chisel Hammers

I should have been clearer. All of the genno, or Japanese hammers, that I have seen have a concave and a convex face. There are more types than the 2 shown above. Neither of those shown are specificaly for striking a chisel. I guess it is a matter of personal choice which you use. I have...

    Trend MFT jig

To be honest it was a while ago. it is possible I referenced from an edge more than once. Will try again but the smallest sheet of 19mm here ie 200 euro, 366X185.

    Trend MFT jig

A while back, having a fairly large piece of black moisture-resistant MDF to hand, I bought the above jig to make a MFT bench. The grid did not come out square, and it was put aside. Usually, I'm quite accurate and have been called worse, so I'm not sure where I went wrong. What I didn't do...

    Importing and customs

I've got a parcel that's been sitting in Italian customs since the 18th of last month. No point worrying, it will get here eventually. Last week I bought an ink roller from eBay UK and it arrived today.
