    Ultrasonic cleaners.

I have also read that not using a basket can damage the transducer, especially heavy items.

    Ultrasonic cleaners.

I have a small one from lidl. I buy chemicals online from a company called allendale. They also sell a lot of machines of varying sizes. I'd buy a bigger one from them but since Brexit it has become uneconomical to buy frim the UK.

Indian club turning newby advice please?

It's often referred to as a router lathe. I don't have a lathe or any experience turning, but can turn cylindrical objects using the router. YT has many examples

Build yourself a long box out of mdf and use a router overhead whilst turning the blank.

    Bandsaw blade tracking problem

I imagine you won't be able to run most modern saws with the doors open unless you modify them.

I did the same, but we don't have to pay duty etc.

    Bandsaw blade breakage

You use a bandsaw tension gauge, which costs a fortune. I 3D printed mine. This isn't mine but otherwise the same. Mathias Wandel? also made a wood one.

    Bandsaw blade breakage

I have always read that most saws, especially the smaller ones, are unable to provide the tension required for a good cut, I assume that is why one can buy thinner blades that need less tension. If this is true then I would also guess that it was more likely to be too little rather than too much...

    Got any recommendations for squares?

Matsui hardened squares are supposed to be extremely accurate, I have the 150mm. Of course they're not particularly easy to get hold of, mine came directly from Japan.

    Bandsaw Buddy

Can you explain why there is a problem with resurrecting an old thread? I know it is difficult to demonstrate "tone" in a post but your comment sounds a trifle sarcastic? Would you prefer everybody just asked a question without searching to see if it had been covered before? As it happens the...

Passport number for deliveries from Europe!

In Italy it is certainly for tax avoidance as well. When it comes to import/export it is just a way of identifying the person importing or exporting. Anyone can have a codice fiscale. The number basically identifies a person by their name, place of birth and date of birth. There are many online...

Passport number for deliveries from Europe!

I was born in London. I consider myself English, even if the Italians insist I'm Italian.

Passport number for deliveries from Europe!

They can and most probably will check, especially if it's a serious courier company. Often they ask for your EORI, as they do in UK now if shipping outside UK. The EORI is easily checked online. The bottom line is that unless you supply a valid number the chances are the item will get snagged...

Passport number for deliveries from Europe!

Perfectly normal. It would be inconceivable to an Italian that you wouldn't give your CF or codice fiscale to a vendor. It's 100% normal and it will be the post office or shipping company that insists on it. When I order from Amazon outside of Italy I am asked for my CF for customs clearance by...

Passport number for deliveries from Europe!

Wont work. What they want is more than likely the OPs EORI. In Italy every person resident in Italy, and this means they are registered with the local council, has a codice fiscale, CF, or a fiscal code. The nearest thing in the UK would be your NI number. Very often, when you buy online you...

    MFT - wossit all about?

But the table below needs to be in good condition for that to work. For a moment there I thought the TS 55 had a scribing blade.
